NHS 10 Year plan - Public Discussion Group

Take part in the biggest public conversation about the future of the NHS, and have your say!

The government has launched 'Change NHS: help build a health service fit for the future' to have the biggest ever conversation about the future of the NHS. As members of the public, you see directly what's working and what's going wrong. Your feedback will directly inform the development of the government’s 10-Year Health Plan for England!

This event is a public discussion group where anyone can attend to share their views and experiences. It will be held at One Strawberry Lane from 1-3pm on Friday the 17th of January, 2025. The event will be jointly hosted by Healthwatch Newcastle and Healthwatch Gateshead.

If you would like to attend, please sign up via Eventbrite so we know how many people to expect and if you have any specific accessibility requirements. Sign-ups will close on Wednesday 15th of January at 12 noon.

If you cannot attend but would still like to participate in the public consultation, you can do so at https://change.nhs.uk/en-GB. We will be hosting 2 other face-to-face sessions in January, which will be announced soon.

Thank you for attending our Annual Joint Meeting!

On the 19th of September we held our Annual Joint Meeting, shared between Healthwatch Gateshead and Healthwatch Newcastle. It was an opportunity sharing our recent achievements, our current activities and our plans for the future, as well as receive feedback and input from partner organisations and the general public.
