Blaydon Urgent Treatment Centre now open for walk-in appointments
Patients in Gateshead now have more choice for NHS help with minor injuries. Blaydon Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) is now open for walk-in appointments — no appointment needed.
Staff are on hand to help with the conditions including sprains and strains, suspected broken limbs, skin infections and rashes, eye problems and emergency contraception.
For minor health problems, such as coughs and colds, you can obtain advice and over-the-counter treatments from a pharmacist.
You should always call 999 or attend an A&E department if someone is seriously ill or injured, or their life is at risk, such as heart attack, breathing difficulties, stroke, chest pains or serious injury.
Blaydon UTC is open from 8am to 9pm, seven days a week.
